Fire Engineer

The opportunity
This is a technical role with genuine responsibility. 

You'll work across a varied project portfolio, attend client meetings, review technical work and take ownership of fire engineering design. You'll also be involved in some of the more complex technical challenges across projects.

If business development is something you're interested in, there's scope to get involved – but the priority is someone who can confidently manage technical work and provide sound advice to clients and project teams.

What you'll be doing

• Reviewing technical work and taking ownership of your own project delivery
• Attending client meetings
• Working across a genuinely broad mix of projects
• Collaborating with other disciplines internally
• Working closely with senior engineers on live projects
• Applying your knowledge of NZBC, Acceptable Solutions and PBD frameworks

What you'll bring

• 5+ years' fire engineering experience
• Strong, independent fire engineering design capability
• Solid understanding of NZ codes and regulations
• Confidence reviewing work and making technical decisions
• Comfortable in client meetings
• Practical, curious approach to problem solving
• BE (Hons) in Fire Engineering or similar
