Nelbud is hiring Fire Suppression Service Technicians to inspect, service, repair, and maintain commercial fire suppression and life-safety equipment.

About the Role

As a Fire Suppression Service Technician, you’ll work directly with customers in the field, servicing pre-engineered fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting. This is a hands-on service position that combines technical work, problem-solving, customer interaction, and code compliance.

What You’ll Do

• Inspect, service, repair, and maintain pre-engineered fire suppression systems
• Inspect, repair, recharge, and replace fire extinguishers
• Inspect, repair, and replace emergency lighting
• Identify deficiencies and recommend services needed to maintain code compliance
• Educate customers on fire protection equipment and service needs
• Maintain accurate service documentation
• Respond promptly to scheduled service calls
• Provide professional, dependable customer service
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable fire protection standards

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of relevant fire suppression or fire protection experience strongly preferred
• Experience servicing fire extinguishers, suppression systems, or related fire protection equipment preferred
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently in a field-service environment
• Ability to work in small spaces and at heights
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, professional, and safety-focused

Driving Requirements

For positions requiring operation of a company vehicle:

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to drive from the shop to customer job sites
• Must meet company driver eligibility requirements
