Fire Extinguisher Technician

Position Title: Fire Extinguisher Technician

Location: Reading, PA

Duration: Monday-Friday with some overtime, nights, and weekends as necessary

Wage: Dependent on level of experience

Job Summary: Inspect and perform routine maintenance on fire extinguishers in our fill room.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Inspect and perform routine maintenance on fire extinguishers in our fill room

· Ensure fire extinguishers are up to NFPA-10 standards

· Educate customers on the proper fire extinguisher for their building and their environments

· Perform fire extinguisher trainings for customers

· Knowledge about local and national fire safety codes and regulations

· Attend training sessions as assigned

· Complete necessary paperwork

· May be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time

Qualifications/Skills:

· A valid driver’s license with a good driving record

· High School Diploma/GED

· Ability to work independently.

· Ability to pass background checks and drug tests.

· Demonstrate integrity and honesty.

· Represent the company in a professional manner.

· Positive attitude, self-motivated, team player with strong organizational and communication skills.

· Experience preferred, but not required.

· Detail oriented, problem solver

· Basic Computer Skills

Physical Requirements:

· Capable of lifting 50 pounds.

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

· Must be able to work off of ladders and lifts.

Experience:

• Fire alarm: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: On the road
