Job Summary

Lead and manage fire protection teams to develop and implement strategies, ensure system compliance, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver safe, effective fire protection solutions across projects.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the fire protection team to achieve project and safety objectives

Provide technical guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to enhance performance

Develop and implement fire protection strategies, standards, and policies aligned with industry regulations

Collaborate with departments and contractors to design fire protection plans that meet project requirements

Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure fire protection systems are operational and compliant

Ensure all fire protection systems comply with relevant codes and standards through ongoing monitoring

Develop and deliver fire safety training programs for facility staff and workers to promote safety awareness

Stay updated on fire protection system advancements, codes, and standards and disseminate knowledge to the team

Liaise with regulatory bodies, fire departments, and stakeholders to maintain compliance with fire safety regulations

Provide technical support to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve fire protection issues

Oversee installation, repair, and maintenance activities of fire protection systems to ensure quality and safety

Develop and monitor budgets related to fire protection projects and report progress to the Manager of Facilities Management

Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date project documentation for fire protection systems

Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients to address fire protection requirements and concerns

Participate in meetings as required to support project and operational objectives

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Diploma in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

At least 3 years of experience in fire protection or facilities management

Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, principles, codes, and standards

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Effective communication and problem-solving skills
