Fire Sprinkler Mechanic

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of fire safety regulations and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Fire Sprinkler Technician will ensure that all systems are functioning correctly and meet local codes.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings.
• Conduct inspections and testing of existing fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning sprinkler systems, using tools such as an ohmmeter to diagnose electrical issues.
• Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
• Document all work performed, including inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and best practices related to fire safety.

Skills

• Proficiency in using an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics related to fire sprinkler systems.
• Strong knowledge of fire protection codes and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting findings and collaborating with team members.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
