About the Opportunity

Tomahawk Industries Ltd. is currently seeking a Fire Suppression Technician Trainee in the Spruce Grove area.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and building technical skills. You'll have the opportunity to learn the fire protection industry from experienced professionals while developing the knowledge and independence needed to operate a fully equipped service truck.

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out skilled work, including:

• Installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining A/C and fire suppression
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical troubles
• Safety assessments, invoicing & parts management
• Keeping detailed log book for tasks
• Maintaining parts inventory in truck
• Ensuring all safety tickets are up-to-date

About You

We're looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys working with their hands, and is eager to learn a specialized trade. Previous fire protection experience is not required. If you have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and take pride in solving problems, we'd like to hear from you.

To be considered for this opportunity, you'll need a valid Canadian driver's licence and experience working with tools, mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, or troubleshooting. Experience in any of the following areas would be considered an asset:

• Commercial HVAC
• Small engines
• Heavy equipment
• Mining equipment
• Automotive repair and maintenance
• Fire suppression systems

Apprenticeship training, trade certifications, or Red Seal certification in automotive, heavy equipment, HVAC/refrigeration, or a related trade are considered assets but are not required.

The successful candidate will be dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently once trained.
