Firearm Sales Associate (Relevant Experience Required)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Firearm Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Wisconsin Firearms & Transfers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for firearms, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will assist customers in selecting firearms, ammunition, and accessories while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers by answering questions, demonstrating product features, and offering recommendations.
• Sales: Effectively communicate the features and benefits of firearms, ammunition, and accessories to drive sales and meet or exceed sales targets.
• Online Sales Fulfillment: Process sales made online by collecting necessary documentation to ship customer orders.
• Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the latest firearms, ammunition, and accessories trends, features, and regulations to provide accurate information to customers.
• Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management tasks such as restocking shelves, conducting regular inventory counts, and ensuring merchandise is properly labeled and priced.
• Compliance: Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding the sale of firearms and ammunition, including background check procedures and age restrictions. (Training is provided).
• Safety: Promote firearm safety by educating customers on safe handling practices and storage solutions.
• Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including product displays, signage, and promotional materials.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals, contribute to a positive work environment, and support colleagues as needed.

Qualifications:

• Passion for Firearms: Genuine interest and knowledge of firearms, ammunition, and related accessories.
• Customer Focus: Strong customer service skills with the ability to actively listen to customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Sales Experience: Previous retail sales experience preferred, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately process transactions, maintain detailed records, and follow proper procedures.
• Team Player: Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
• Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Your work hours will be fix on a weekly basis around the store hours, which are Monday-Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM and Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. Flexible hours are needed for gunshows. We are willing to adjust schedules to accommodate your needs and the gunshows.

Education and Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of firearms laws and regulations preferred.
• Possession of relevant firearms certifications or licenses (e.g., concealed carry permit) a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Comfortable handling firearms and ammunition safely and responsibly.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must have a clean record and be able to pass a background check.
