Firmware Engineer

We are recruiting a Senior BIOS / Firmware Engineer with hands-on UEFI BIOS development experience to develop and bring up BIOS for new rugged embedded computing platforms used in defense, aerospace, and industrial applications.

This is a hands-on development position focused on UEFI BIOS development, porting, customization, and new-board bring-up for Intel/x86 embedded platforms.

This is not a BIOS support or systems administration role. We are looking for an engineer who has actually developed or customized BIOS code for newly designed hardware.

Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without employer sponsorship.

What You'll Do

• Develop and customize UEFI BIOS for new Intel/x86 embedded computing platforms
• Port and adapt AMI BIOS, Intel reference BIOS, or similar commercial BIOS platforms to newly designed hardware
• Perform BIOS and firmware bring-up on new boards
• Debug low-level hardware/firmware issues involving memory, registers, processors, and peripherals
• Validate board-level interfaces including PCI Express, USB, SATA , and related technologies
• Work closely with hardware, FPGA, firmware, and software engineers to troubleshoot integration issues
• Support BIOS development from initial board bring-up through testing, production release, and manufacturing

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience developing UEFI BIOS
• Experience with BIOS porting, customization, and new-board bring-up
• Strong C programming and low-level embedded development skills
• Experience with Intel x86/x86-64 architecture and platform initialization
• Experience with AMI BIOS, Intel reference BIOS , or a comparable commercial BIOS platform
• Strong understanding of hardware/firmware interaction, registers, memory, processors, and peripherals
