⚡ Firmware Engineer – 5G Modem

We are looking for an experienced Firmware Engineer to join a team developing core firmware components for next-generation cellular communication systems.

The role focuses on the control, scheduling, and coordination mechanisms at the core of modem architecture, connecting protocol layers, hardware components, and real-time execution environments. You will develop timing-critical firmware that directly influences system performance, stability, and power efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded firmware in C for 5G NR modem systems, focusing on control flows, scheduling mechanisms, and state machines.
• Implement features based on cellular communication standards, including 5G NR, LTE, and multi-RAT operation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across system architecture, firmware, signal processing, and hardware development.
• Debug complex system-level issues involving firmware, hardware, and interactions between system components.
• Support platform bring-up, integration, and feature deployment on new hardware platforms.
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and technical problem-solving.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in C.
• 4–6 years of experience in embedded systems or firmware development.
• Understanding of real-time systems, interrupts, concurrency, and low-level control logic.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Advantages

• Experience with cellular communication technologies, such as 5G NR and LTE.
• Familiarity with firmware scheduling, system control, or control-plane logic.
• Knowledge of 3GPP specifications.
• Experience working close to hardware, including registers, interrupts, DMA, and timers.
• Experience optimizing firmware for performance, latency, or power efficiency.
