About the Role

Are you passionate about embedded systems and creating high-performance firmware that powers next-generation technology? We're looking for a Mid-Level Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our growing engineering team and play a key role in developing robust, production-ready embedded solutions.

In this role, you'll own firmware modules from concept through release, collaborate closely with hardware and systems teams, and help shape the architecture and quality of our embedded software platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead implementation of robust firmware modules for embedded systems
• Design, implement, test, and release firmware features from requirements through production
• Optimize embedded software for performance, determinism, reliability, and memory efficiency
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and perform deep root-cause analysis
• Support hardware bring-up activities and new board revisions
• Review technical specifications, test procedures, and peer code contributions
• Improve firmware architecture, modularity, scalability, and maintainability
• Contribute to engineering best practices including Git workflows, code reviews, documentation standards, and development processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master's degree is a plus)
• 3+ years of professional embedded firmware development experience

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in Embedded C programming
• Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex microcontrollers, particularly STM32
• Experience working with MCU peripherals and low-level hardware interfaces
• Proficiency with Git in a collaborative development environment
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Ability to create clear technical documentation and specifications
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across engineering disciplines

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NXP and/or Renesas microcontrollers

• Understanding of motor-drive systems and control fundamentals

• Experience using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers for:

• CAN protocol analysis and decoding

• PWM timing validation

• ADC noise characterization

• Embedded system timing and performance analysis
