Firmware QA Engineer

We are seeking a Firmware QA Engineer to validate firmware and IoT-enabled devices used in healthcare and pharmaceutical cold-chain applications. This is a hands-on testing role focused on real hardware, firmware releases, troubleshooting, and pre-deployment/ship testing.

Responsibilities:

Perform firmware smoke, regression, and release testing on hardware.

Test device functionality including power, sensors, charging, connectivity, GPS, and fault recovery.

Perform pre-deployment and ship testing to ensure device readiness.

Reproduce issues, analyze serial/device logs, and support root-cause investigations.

Work closely with firmware and hardware engineers to validate fixes and edge cases.

Develop lightweight Python/Shell scripts for repetitive testing and log analysis.

Communicate test results, risks, and quality status to cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

Experience in firmware, embedded, IoT, or hardware QA/testing.

Hands-on experience testing connected/embedded devices.

Strong knowledge of regression, integration, and risk-based testing.

Experience with device logs and troubleshooting.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Python or Shell scripting is a plus.

GPS/GNSS, OTA firmware, or regulated-industry experience is a plus.
