First Aider

Job Summary:
The First Aider is responsible for providing immediate first aid and basic medical assistance to employees who experience injuries, illnesses, or emergencies at the workplace. The position helps maintain a safe working environment by responding quickly to medical incidents and supporting the company’s health and safety programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide immediate first aid and basic medical assistance to employees and visitors.
• Respond promptly to workplace injuries, accidents, and medical emergencies.
• Assess the condition of injured or ill individuals and provide appropriate first aid within the scope of training.
• Perform basic procedures such as wound dressing, bandaging, and basic life support when necessary.
• Coordinate with the Nurse, Safety Officer, or medical personnel for cases requiring further medical attention.
• Arrange or assist with the safe transfer of injured or seriously ill employees to a medical facility.
• Maintain and regularly check first aid kits, supplies, and emergency equipment.
• Keep accurate records of first aid treatments, injuries, and medical incidents.
• Conduct or assist in toolbox meetings and safety awareness activities related to first aid and emergency response.
• Participate in emergency drills and preparedness activities.
• Ensure the first aid station is clean, organized, and properly equipped.
• Immediately report serious injuries, accidents, and emergencies to the appropriate supervisor or Safety Officer.
• Perform other duties related to workplace emergency response and safety as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or college level; healthcare-related education is an advantage.
• Must have a valid and recognized First Aid/Basic Life Support certification.
• Previous experience as a First Aider, Emergency Responder, or in a construction/industrial environment is preferred.
• Physically fit and capable of responding to workplace emergencies.
• Knowledgeable in basic first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures.
