First Aider

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate First Aider to join the Health, Safety & Environment team at Finca Engineering Services. This is a full-time position based in Las Pinas City, Metro Manila. As a First Aider, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our workforce across all construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to provide immediate medical assistance and support to employees in the event of workplace injuries or emergencies, whilst also contributing to the promotion of a strong health and safety culture throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide immediate first aid treatment to injured or unwell employees on construction sites and at company facilities
• Maintain and regularly check first aid kits and medical supplies to ensure they are fully stocked and readily available
• Document all first aid incidents and injuries in detail, and report them to the Health, Safety & Environment team
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and coordinate emergency medical services when necessary
• Conduct routine site inspections to identify potential health and safety hazards
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety inductions to educate employees on first aid procedures and injury prevention
• Maintain accurate records of all first aid administered and maintain confidentiality of medical information
• Assist in developing and implementing workplace health and safety programmes and initiatives
• Monitor employee wellbeing and report concerns to management
• Maintain current knowledge of first aid best practices and stay updated on relevant legislation and guidelines

What we're looking for

• Valid First Aid Certification issued by a recognised training organisation

• Minimum 1 year experience as a First Aider in a construction

• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and best practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees at all levels

• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, particularly during emergency situations

• Keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills

• Physical fitness and ability to move quickly and work in varying environmental conditions on construction sites

• Willingness to undertake continuous professional development and refresher training courses
