First Aider- Project-Based

About the role

Portmizer Philippines Corporation is looking for a reliable and qualified First Aider to provide immediate first aid and basic emergency assistance to personnel at the project site. The First Aider will be responsible for responding to minor injuries and medical emergencies, maintaining first aid supplies and records, and assisting the project team in promoting a safe and healthy work environment. The role will also coordinate with the designated Safety Officer and management when further medical attention or emergency response is required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide immediate first aid and basic emergency assistance to employees, workers, and authorized personnel at the project site.
• Assess and respond appropriately to minor injuries, illnesses, and other medical concerns within the scope of first aid training.
• Coordinate with emergency medical services, clinics, hospitals, or other healthcare providers when further medical attention is required.
• Maintain and regularly check the availability and completeness of the project's first aid kits and medical supplies.
• Maintain basic first aid treatment records and documentation of workplace injuries or medical incidents.
• Immediately report significant injuries, accidents, and medical emergencies to the designated Safety Officer or project management.
• Assist the Safety Officer during emergency response, evacuation, and other safety-related activities.
• Support safety orientations, toolbox meetings, and health and safety awareness activities when required.
• Help monitor general workplace conditions and promptly report observed safety or health concerns to the Safety Officer.
• Perform other first-aid and health-and-safety-related duties as may be assigned in support of the project.

About you

• Must have a valid and recognized First Aid Training/Certification from a qualified training provider.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is an advantage.
• Previous experience as a First Aider, Emergency Responder, Safety Staff, Clinic Assistant, or similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures.
• Able to remain calm and respond appropriately during emergencies.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Physically able to perform basic first aid and emergency response duties.
• Willing to work on-site in Manila.
• Willing to accept project-based employment.
