First Mile Operations Associate

Department: Warehousing / Logistics
Location: Bengaluru
Experience: 0 - 3 Years In Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Fleet Management, First Mile Operations, Or Similar Roles

Role Summary

We Are Looking For A First Mile Operations Associate To Manage Day To Day Vehicle Coordination And Warehouse Receiving Operations.

The Role Involves Vehicle Monitoring, Driver / Vendor Coordination, Vehicle Issue Resolution, Leftover Booking, And NDD Pick list Management To Ensure All Planned Material Is Picked Up And Dispatched On Time.

The Person Will Be Responsible For Ensuring Vehicles Report On Time, Pickups Are Completed As Planned, Operational Issues Are Resolved Quickly, And No Pending Material Is Left Without Appropriate Action Or Escalation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vehicle Coordination & Monitoring
   * Monitor Vehicle Reporting And Ensure Vehicles Arrive As Per The Planned Schedule.
   * Coordinate With Drivers, Vendors, And Warehouse Teams For Timely Vehicle Loading And Dispatch.
   * Track Vehicle Movement And Pickup Status Throughout The Day.
   * Follow Up On Delayed Or Non-Reporting Vehicles And Take Corrective Action.
   * Maintain Accurate Vehicle And Trip Trackers.

2. Vehicle Issue Resolution

* Handle Vehicle Related Issues Such As Delays, Breakdowns, Driver No Shows, And Vehicle Replacements.
* Coordinate With Vendors / Drivers To Resolve Issues Quickly.
* Arrange Alternate Vehicles Wherever Required Through Available Channels.
* Escalate Unresolved Issues To The Relevant Internal Teams Or Vendors.

3. NDD Pick list Management

* Monitor The NDD Pick list And Ensure All Planned Pickups Are Actioned Within The Required Timeline.
* Coordinate With Warehouse And Vehicle Teams To Ensure NDD Material Is Picked And Dispatched On Time.
* Track Pending NDD Orders And Proactively Follow Up On Exceptions.
* Escalate Any NDD Order At Risk Of Missing The Required Timeline.

4. Coordination & Operational Closure
   * Coordinate Continuously With Warehouse Teams, Drivers, Vendors, And Internal Stakeholders.
   * Maintain Live Operational Trackers And Update Vehicle / Pickup Status Accurately.
   * Ensure All Vehicle And Pickup Related Exceptions Are Appropriately Closed Or Escalated By The End Of The Day.

Must Have
* 1+ Year Of Experience In Logistics, Warehouse, Dispatch, Fleet, First Mile, Or Similar Operations.
* Hands On Experience Coordinating Vehicles, Drivers, Warehouse Teams, Or Dispatch Operations.
* Strong Coordination, Follow Up, And Communication Skills.
* Comfortable Working In A Fast Paced Warehouse / Ground Operations Environment.
* Comfortable Using Excel / Google Sheets And Operational Trackers.
* Ability To Handle Multiple Vehicles, Pickups, And Operational Issues Simultaneously.
* Strong Ownership And Problem-Solving Skills.

Good To Have
* Experience Working With 3PL / Fleet Vendors.
* Experience With Vehicle Booking Platforms Such As Porter Or Similar Platforms.
* Experience With OMS /TMS / Logistics Platforms.
* Experience Handling NDD / Next Day Dispatch Operations.
* Experience In Warehouse Dispatch Or Pickup Operations.
* Basic Understanding Of Operational MIS / KPI's.

The Person Will Be Successful When They Consistently Ensure:
* Vehicles Report On Time And Are Available As Planned.
* Pickup And Dispatch Operations Run Smoothly.
* Vehicle Issues Are Identified And Resolved Quickly.
* Leftover Material Is Booked And Cleared On Time.
* NDD Pick lists Are Actioned And Dispatched Within SLA's.
* Drivers, Vendors, And Warehouse Teams Are Actively Followed Up With.
* No Vehicle / Pickup Exception Remains Without Action Or Escalation.
* Operational Trackers And Closures Are Maintained Accurately.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹360,000.00 per year
