First Shift Lead Inspector Packer

Position: First Shift Lead Inspector Packer

Job Summary

Responsible for labor distribution of repack staff to optimize daily packing and to ensure correct documentation of production numbers. Meet goals as identified by the Manager.

Pay: 18.00 USD/HR

Schedule:

• Monday-Thursday
• 5:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
• Flexibility is a must; Weekends, overtime required based on customer demand

Responsibilities

• Assign and oversee the work for the staff assigned to the repack/assembly area
• Plan and organize the workflow (people, processes, and physical layout) to ensure cost-efficient production.
• Schedule and prioritize the production activities under the direction of the Warehouse Manager
• Develop and maintain kanban inventory system for critical components
• Maintain security, order, and cleaning in the area.
• Assure packing reports filled in correctly.
• Contribute ideas to comply with the packing key performance indicators (KPI).
• In conjunction with the Integrated Management System (IM) and customer requirements, assure the quality of the finished product before identifying it.
• Identify the material that is in the finished product area.
• Retrieve or deposit material(s) in the drying rooms (as required).
• Provide backup Material Handling by moving freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers by hand or using manual pallet jack, forklift, or other equipment as assigned.
• Ensure the proper use of the Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) by all assigned personnel
• Complies with procedures, regulations, and instructions of environmental and safety programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity.
• Position requires the ability to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods of time during a normal work shift.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
