Fiscal Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and filing Of accounts payable vouchers (includes coding and vendor payments)
• Posting of transactions in the general ledger system
• Follow —up on vendor related matters when necessary
• Assist with preparation of Providers' contracts
• Assist with tracking inventory for grant reporting
• Assist with tracking Non-Federal share for grant reporting and audit purposes
• Assist with the Form 1099 filing at calendar year end
• Assist with preparation for annual audit Reconciling accounts payable balances at Fiscal year end

Requirements and Skills:

• One to two years' experience in bookkeeping or Non-Profit accounting with a minimum Of an Associate Degree, Bachelors preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft, Excel and Word
• Strong attention to detail
• Works well with others to build positive environments
• Provides friendly, patient technical assistance to Head Start staff regarding reimbursements and purchasing procedures
• Maintains positive, professional and collaborative relationships with vendors when handling invoices and resolve billing discrepancies calmly

Salary Range: $58,594 - $65,290.31
