Fiscal Assistant

Overview

The Fiscal Assistance Specialist is responsible for processing, documenting, and tracking financial assistance payments and related fiscal activities for MCS Community Services. This position ensures that payments are accurate, properly authorized, and processed in accordance with agency policies, program guidelines, and applicable funding requirements. The Fiscal Assistance Specialist maintains organized financial records, assists with reporting and reconciliation, communicates with vendors and program staff, and safeguards confidential client and financial information. This position plays an important role in maintaining fiscal accountability, supporting program operations, and ensuring responsible use of agency funds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or an office-related field required

• Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to transition quickly to work independently

• Proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills required

• High attention to detail and accountability necessary

• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and function as part of a team

• Effective written and verbal professional communication skills required

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Consistent attendance necessary

Pay: $38,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
