FISH Coordinator, Cytogenetics Laboratory

Job Summary Performs routine and specialized Cytogenetic procedures and microscope analysis. Serves as FISH Coordinator.

Minimum Qualifications Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Masters degree in one of the chemical, physical or biological sciences, and two years of Clinical laboratory experience OR NYS Licensed/eligible to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist and a minimum of four years of Clinical Laboratory experience . Experience in Cytogenetics required; specifically, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) . Specific visual requirements include use of both eyes, depth perception, ability to distinguish colors and shades of colors

Preferred Qualifications BS in Molecular Sciences (Cytogenetics or Molecular Diagnostics. ASCP certification as Clinical specialist in Cytogenetics.

Work Days M-F 8:00-4:30
