Fit-Out Draftsman

We are seeking an experienced Fit-Out Draftsman. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, shop drawings, detailed layouts, and as-built drawings for interior fit-out and construction projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of interior fit-out works, architectural drawings, construction details, and AutoCAD, with the ability to coordinate drawings with site teams, engineers, subcontractors, and other disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings for fit-out and interior works.
• Prepare architectural layouts, floor plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, and detailed drawings.
• Develop drawings based on project specifications, architectural designs, and site requirements.
• Prepare detailed drawings for partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, doors, finishes, and other fit-out works.
• Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, MEP, and other services to avoid conflicts.
• Review drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies or technical issues.
• Take measurements from site and update drawings according to actual site conditions.
• Prepare revisions and incorporate comments from consultants, engineers, and project managers.
• Assist the technical team in preparing drawings for consultant/client approval.
• Prepare and maintain accurate drawing registers and revision records.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project standards, specifications, and approved designs.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other departments regarding drawing requirements.
• Prepare as-built drawings based on completed site works.
• Support the project team with any additional drafting and technical drawing requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience as a Draftsman, preferably within a construction or interior fit-out company.
• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out and finishing works.
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience preparing shop drawings and detailed construction drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Knowledge of construction materials, finishing works, and building details.
• Experience in preparing as-built drawings.
• Good understanding of construction methods and site execution.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Qatar/GCC construction experience is preferred.
