Fit Out Technician / Mechanic / Assembly Technician

Build Australia's Toughest Trailers with a Team That's Proud of What They Create

Are you the kind of tradesperson who takes pride in doing the job right the first time?

Do you enjoy hands-on work, solving problems and seeing a brand-new trailer leave the workshop knowing you helped build it?

If you're looking for more than "just another job", you've found it.

At Tuff Trailers, we're one of Australia's leading manufacturers of premium custom-built heavy transport trailers. Every trailer is built with precision, quality and attention to detail—and we're looking for skilled Fit Out Technicians who share those same values.

Why You'll Love Working With Us

At Tuff Trailers, you're not just another employee—you become part of a supportive team that genuinely looks after one another.

• Exposure to every stage of trailer manufacturing—not repetitive production line work
• Ongoing coaching, training and opportunities to expand your skills
• Genuine career progression for people who want to grow
• Secure onsite parking
• Supportive leaders who value teamwork, respect and open communication
• A workplace where safety and quality comes first and your work is recognised
• Opportunity to transition to permanent employment for the right person following a qualifying period

About the Role

As a Fit Out Technician, you'll play a key role in bringing our premium trailers to life. Working on brand-new equipment, you'll complete the final fit out and assembly to ensure every trailer meets our high standards of quality and performance.

• Installing 12V and 24V electrical systems
• Plumbing pneumatic brake systems
• Installing and commissioning EBS braking systems
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs
• Servicing and preventative maintenance
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Working safely while maintaining exceptional quality standards

If you're ready to move beyond repetitive servicing or production line work and want to build quality trailers you can be proud of while learning new skills, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

Don't have every skill? That's okay. If you have a great attitude and a willingness to succeed, we'll provide the training and support you need.

We're Looking For Someone Who

• Takes genuine pride in their workmanship
• Has experience in manufacturing
• Can read and interpret engineering drawings

Highly regarded (but not essential):
