Fitness Facility Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily gym operations, ensuring smooth functioning and high standards of service
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of staff members, including trainers and support personnel
• Oversee shift management, scheduling, and staff supervision to optimize coverage and performance
• Coordinate special events, fitness classes, and promotional activities to enhance member engagement
• Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing member inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Manage operational tasks such as budgeting, cash handling, inventory control, and report writing
• Ensure safety protocols are followed; conduct first aid and CPR training for staff as needed

Requirements

• Prior experience in events management and hospitality environments is highly desirable
• Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management and managerial decision-making skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for report writing, and communication purposes
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
• Experience in shift management, guest services, and operations management within a fitness setting
• Knowledge of budgeting, cash handling procedures, and operational management practices
• Technical proficiency relevant to managing facility equipment and safety systems
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; additional hospitality or resort experience is advantageous
• Assistant manager experience or similar managerial roles will be considered a plus
