Fitness Floor Attendant

The Buffalo Grove Fitness Center is looking for a Fitness Attendant to join our team. The Fitness Attendant monitors and maintains the cleanliness and safety of the facility's fitness floor and exercise areas. This is a part-time permanent position. We do not hire seasonal help. We are seeking a fitness floor opener for Sunday's opening shift, 5:45 am to noon, and an opener for Mondays 4:45 a.m. to 10am. May pick up other shifts when available.

Job Functions:

• Monitors the fitness floor for safety
• Offers assistance to members' needs
• Cleans all exercise machines and minor equipment to showroom quality
• Ensures all equipment is kept in the proper area of storage
• Adheres to all opening and closing procedures when applicable
• Maintains all log sheets required by the Fitness Center
• Reports, documents, and labels all broken equipment immediately to the fitness manager
• Provides confident, friendly, and encouraging tours to prospective members
• Attends all Buffalo Grove Park District/Fitness Center meetings
• Provide equipment orientation to new members
• Must be able to lift 45 pounds safely
• Requires being on your feet for most of your shift,

Qualifications: Experience In Sports And/or The Fitness Industry Preferred. Experience in customer service is also preferred. This position requires walking, lifting, and bending throughout your shift.

Salary: $16 - $18 per hour, depending on experience

Benefits Free Fitness Center pass for employees who work 8 hours or more per week and other discounts towards Park District programs.
