Fitness Instructor

Join us and play a role in guiding and supporting Persons with Parkinson (PD) toward fitness and strength to journey with PD.

• Conduct strength and fitness classes for PD warriors.
• Conduct inspections of fitness equipment and report accordingly for repairs or replacement if need.
• Provide guidance on the safe and proper use of exercise equipment.
• Ensure the safety of all members within the exercise environment.
• Uphold professional behaviour and comply with all rules and guidelines established for the facility.

Requirements

At least one approved

Fitness Instructor Certifications with valid Standard First Aid certificate with 2 years work experience in related field.

Parkinson Society Singapore (PSS) operates Singapore’s only Parkinson Centre. Set up in 1996, PSS offers numerous programmes for People with Parkinson and their caregivers, such as physiotherapy, speech therapy and other therapeutic programmes, as well as activities like Tai Chi, yoga, kickboxing, calligraphy, karaoke singing, caregiver workshops, emotional freedom techniques, etc., all aimed at improving the lives of People with Parkinson and their caregivers. Our mission is to promote awareness and understanding of Parkinson and related disorders by educating patients, caregivers and their communities, and by supporting them holistically in their journey with Parkinson.
