We require Mechanical Fitters for our Gearbox Fitting department to work on exciter gearboxes - experience in gear gearbox refurbishment an advantage, but suitable candidates will be trained.

This is a great opportunity for a mechanical fitter who is reliable, focused on detail, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The right applicant can help develop procedures, processes, tooling and training to help grow the product group and streamline the overhaul process.

About The Role

Due to consistent exciter gearbox refurbishment work, we are seeking experienced, skilled and motivated individuals to join our growing team and take ownership of the product group.

Your role will entail all aspects of refurbishment of a range of exciter gearboxes, from the strip and assess stage, reporting, repair options and processes, assembling of repaired gearboxes, non-load testing and despatching.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• Appropriate Australian or international Trade Certificates;
• Ability to read technical drawings;
• Ability to work in a team or autonomously;
• Excited to learn and to teach;
• A strong emphasis on safety and quality;
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
