Make your impact We are searching for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to assist with repairing and maintaining products delivered to the Service Centre and in Customer operations.

Offering a family friendly Monday to Friday roster and much more:

• Monday - Thursday 6am - 2.30pm
• Friday 5am - 11am
• Overtime available through the week
• All uniforms, tools and PPE provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
• Stripping, maintaining, repairing and reporting on customer pumps both in the Townsville Service Centre and occasionally at customer operations
• Providing informed recommendations to enhance product performance, service quality and workshop processes
• Playing an active role in implementing the Weir Production System within the Rebuild Centre
• Supporting mine shutdowns by attending customer sites when required

What You'll Bring

• Cert III – Mechanical Engineering/Fitting & Turning
• Experience in mechanical fitting in a workshop and onsite environments
• Experience leading and mentoring a team of fitters
• Well developed written and verbal communication skills
• High Risk Fork lift ticket - required
• Overhead crane & doggers ticket - highly desirable
• Current Drivers License
