Fitter / Machinist / Toolmaker

FITTER / MACHINIST / TOOLMAKER

(Must be a NZ Resident or have an Unrestricted NZ Work Visa)

To support our Day-Shift Team of Manual Machinists & Toolmakers servicing the Aviation & Defence Sectors in particular, we seek a proficient tradesman with the following skills and experience:

• Very Skilled in the operation of conventional Lathes and Mills together with Surface & Cylindrical Grinders to fine tolerances & standards of finish
• Have exceptional precision Fitting Skills, e.g. as required for aviation tooling
• Be proficient in the use of Power & Hand Tools
• Have proficiency with TIG, MIG, Stick & Gas Welding of ferrous & non-ferrous metals
• High proficiency with use of Measuring Equipment such as Verniers, Micrometers, DTI's
• Attentive to Deburring, Cleaning & Surface Finishing of machined components to a high level of finesse
• Experience with quality compliance using in-process inspection and Peer checking in accordance with typical ISO 9001 quality management procedures

We also require you to:

• Be methodical and logical, with focal attention to detail
• Have a solutions based approach with can-do attitude
• Work well within a small Team environment
• Undertake duties compliant with ruling occupational health & safety protocols & procedures
• Be a NZ Resident or have a NZ Work Visa
