About the RoleAs a Fitter Welder, you'll work across preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, fabrication and equipment installations within busy industrial environments.
You'll play a key role in keeping production running by delivering safe, high-quality engineering solutions across a range of industrial machinery and equipment.
Whether your background is in maintenance fitting, mechanical fitting or industrial fitting, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on industrial plant and machinery
• Dismantle, inspect and reassemble conveyors, pumps, gearboxes and rotating equipment
• Perform precision fitting, turning and machining to required tolerances
• Complete TIG, MIG and Stick welding repairs and fabrication work
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs
• Assist with machinery installations, upgrades and commissioning
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Complete maintenance records and follow health and safety procedures
• Work collaboratively to minimise downtime and maintain production

What We're Looking For

• NZ Level 4 Trade Certificate in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fitting & Turning or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Fitter Welder, Maintenance Fitter or Mechanical Fitter
• Strong fabrication, welding and mechanical fault-finding skills
• Experience working on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes and rotating equipment
• Competent in TIG, MIG and Stick welding
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Full Class 1 driver's licence
• High attention to detail with pride in quality workmanship
• Reliable, safety-focused and able to work independently or as part of a team
