Fitter/Turner

About the role

AEC is seeking an experienced and well organised Fitter/Turner to be based in the Christchurch branch. This position is full time, permanent work with a guaranteed minimum 40 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture, fit and assemble parts and components for a variety of machinery
• Maintain, modify and repair all machinery to manufacturers specifications
• Fit, fabricate, weld, and assemble metal components and subassemblies
• Demonstrate and promote a positive culture of health, safety, and compliance

About you

• At least 3 years of relevant industry experience
• Trade Cert or National Certificate
• Able to work extra hours when needed
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team
• Extensive knowledge and commitment to health and safety
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate positively with staff and clients
• Organised, professional and well presented
• An exceptional eye for detail and quality
• Honest and reliable with a high work ethic
