About the Role

Cadient is hiring on behalf of one of its customers for an experienced Fitter/Welder in Fort Worth, Texas. You will perform flux core welding and fit-up, read drawings, weld symbols, and WPS, and weld components in flat and vertical positions. You will lay out, position, and secure parts according to specifications, perform grinding and finishing work, maintain welding equipment, and complete required documentation. The role is full-time, with first- and second-shift opportunities and overtime availability. The work is performed onsite at the customer’s Fort Worth facility and focuses on welding, fitting, assembly, and fabrication of metal components. Key Responsibilities

• Perform flux core welding and fit-up on metal components according to drawings, weld symbols, WPS requirements, and customer specifications.
• Weld components in flat and vertical positions while meeting required workmanship and quality expectations for industrial metal fabrication.
• Read drawings, weld symbols, WPS documents, and related specifications to support accurate welding, fitting, assembly, and fabrication work.
• Lay out, position, and secure parts according to specifications before welding and assembly activities are completed.
• Perform grinding and finishing work to prepare welded components for inspection, assembly, or delivery.
• Maintain welding equipment and complete required production, inspection, and maintenance documentation.
• Work with steel, aluminum, and other materials while following required shop safety and operating procedures.

Essential Skills & Technologies

• Prior flux core welding and fit-up experience in an industrial manufacturing or metal fabrication environment is required for this position.
• Ability to read drawings, weld symbols, WPS documents, and specifications to complete accurate welding, fitting, assembly, and fabrication work.
• Ability to pass 1F, 1G, and 2F welding tests and weld components in flat and vertical positions.
• Experience working with steel, aluminum, and other materials used in metal component fabrication and assembly.
• Ability to perform grinding, finishing, equipment maintenance, and required documentation as part of the welding process.

• Availability to work first or second shift and support overtime opportunities based on production requirements.
