Fixed Income Fund Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Manage and implement Fixed Income investment strategies across portfolios.
• Conduct macroeconomic, industry and company-level research to identify investment opportunities.
• Evaluate G-Secs, corporate bonds and other fixed-income instruments.
• Perform credit research and credit allocation for investment decisions.
• Monitor portfolio performance against benchmarks and peer funds and recommend changes.
• Support the Fund Manager Fixed Income and Head of Fixed Income on investment decisions and portfolio strategy.
• Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations, internal investment policies and risk limits.
• Prepare and present fund performance, market outlook and investment reports to senior management/Investment Committee.
• Track changes in financial markets, regulations and investment practices.
• Guide research teams and contribute to generation of new investment ideas.

Preferred candidate profile

• 12+ years of relevant experience in Asset Management / Mutual Funds / Insurance / Investment Management.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Fixed Income Fund Manager.
• Strong experience in Fixed Income / Debt Portfolio Management.
• Strong understanding of G-Secs, Corporate Bonds, Money Market and Debt Instruments.
• Experience in Credit Research / Credit Allocation.
• Good understanding of interest rates, macroeconomics and financial markets.
• Experience in portfolio performance analysis against benchmark and peers.
• Strong understanding of investment regulations, risk management and compliance.
• Good communication and presentation skills for interaction with senior management and Investment Committees.
• Candidates from Asset Management Companies, Mutual Funds, Life Insurance companies, Investment Management firms and Fixed Income investment teams would be relevant.
