Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Flat Roofing Specialist to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining flat roofing systems on commercial and residential buildings. Your expertise will ensure durable, weather-resistant roofs that meet safety standards and client specifications. Responsibilities

• Install new flat roofing systems using various materials such as membrane, rubber, or tar-based products.
• Conduct repairs on existing flat roofs, including patching leaks and replacing damaged sections.
• Prepare roofing surfaces by cleaning, removing old materials, and ensuring proper surface conditions for installation.
• Use hand tools such as trowels, knives, rollers, and drills to complete roofing tasks accurately.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to follow project specifications precisely.
• Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely to ensure efficient workflow.
• Apply caulking and sealants to joints and seams to prevent water infiltration and enhance roof longevity.

Requirements

• Proven experience in flat roofing installation, repair, or related construction work.
• Proficiency with hand tools commonly used in roofing projects.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and technical drawings.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout the workday.
• Basic carpentry skills relevant to framing or structural adjustments as needed.
• Experience with caulking techniques for waterproofing applications.
• Handyman experience or general construction background is highly desirable.
