Flatwork Apprentice

The ideal candidate is expected to be able to work as a team member and independently with attention to detail, timelines and safety procedures. As a flatwork apprentice, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to concrete flatwork forming, finishing, and clean-up.

We are looking for experienced Concrete Forming and Finishing Professionals to join our team full time.

Responsibilities:

• Duties include but are not limited to: pouring concrete, setting forms, finishing concrete, installing rebar, operating equipment such as trucks, skid steers, forklifts, etc.
• Placing & finishing concrete with use of appropriate equipment: ie, Soff-Cut saws, etc.
• Concrete finishing: ie, residential foundations, residential flatwork, commercial foundations and commercial site work
• Must have knowledge of form setting, grading, slope requirements, demolition, and concrete finishing
• Form work
• Install forms & rebar
• Install stakes and rebar caps
• Strip form boards
• Rebar bending and cutting with hand tools
• Demolition of concrete per plan with precision
• Ability to read and understand plans
• Adhere to all project timeline and communicate with management regularly about progress
• Assist other craft workers, take instruction and receive on-the-job training
• Making sure the job site is clean when leaving for the day
• Keep trucks, and equipment clean
• Safety Oriented – Complete understanding of OSHA and company safety requirements
• Accurately clock in/out for work shifts using Company iPad and verify and approve timecard at the end of workday every Tuesday for previous weeks pay period.
• Perform all work according to industry and company standard
• Demonstrate the company's dedication to customer service and professionalism

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-3 years’ experience with concrete forming, pouring and finishing
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Able to work as a team
• Must provide resume

Additional requirements:

• Must be legally allowed to work in the United States
• Must be physically fit and able to complete heavy work tasks
• Must be punctual and dependable

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
