What they need
KGZ Transport Corp. is looking for an organized and responsible Fleet Assistant to support the daily operation of our commercial truck and trailer fleet.
Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Track truck and trailer status, availability, and assignments.
- Coordinate equipment pickups, returns, swaps, and transfers.
- Assist drivers with fleet and equipment-related needs.
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and inspections with the shop.
- Track registrations, permits, plates, inspections, and other equipment documents.
- Maintain accurate fleet records and report equipment damages or issues.
- Assist with truck leasing, lease-to-purchase, and equipment sales.
- Communicate with drivers, vendors, Safety, Dispatch, Maintenance, and Management.
Qualifications
- Trucking, transportation, or fleet experience preferred.
- Knowledge of CDL-A trucks and trailers is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Basic computer and recordkeeping skills.
- Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
