Reports To: VP of Compliance and Operations

Position Purpose:

Responsible for overseeing the safe, compliant and cost-effective operation of the organization fleet of 40+ vehicles.

Employment Details:

Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Hours: 20–25 hours per week

Salary: $25.00/hour

Fleet Management & Maintenance:

• Oversee daily operation and maintenance coordination of 40+ vehicles.
• Schedule inspections, registrations and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain fleet records, GPS monitoring and safety logs.
• Manage vendors and repair coordination.
• Support budgeting and vehicle replacement planning.
• Inspection of all vehicles weekly, in all locations.

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with Connecticut DMV, DOT and insurance requirements.
• Monitor vehicle safety systems and address violations.
• Ensure student transportation vehicles meet V-Endorsement requirements and safety standards.
• Maintain documentation for audits and inspections.
• Coordinate driver safety training initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years fleet or transportation experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Valid Connecticut driver license required.
