We're looking for a driven and experienced Fleet Manager to lead and optimise fleet operations within our North Harbour branch. This role is critical to ensuring high-performance service delivery, strong contractor management, and continuous operational improvement across the network.

The roleBased at our North Harbour branch, the Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day performance of contractors and fleet operations to ensure industry-leading service delivery. You will balance operational control with people leadership, compliance, and continuous improvement, while fostering a positive and high-performing team culture. Providing hands-on assistance where needed and getting involved with service analysis and reporting, you'll strengthen the link between our drivers, operations teams and customers.

This is a full time position working standard business hours.

What you'll be doing

• Lead fleet and contractor performance to consistently deliver against KPIs, service standards, and compliance requirements
• Manage contractor engagement, performance, and recruitment as required
• Monitor operational and financial performance, driving productivity and cost efficiency
• Support business growth through strong operational execution and collaboration with sales and internal teams
• Promote a strong health, safety, and wellbeing culture across all fleet operations

What we're looking for

• Experience in fleet, logistics, or operational management
• Experience in delivering financial outcomes, and profitable business performance
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing contractors or operational teams
• Commercial awareness with the ability to interpret data and drive performance outcomes
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across all levels
