Fleet Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Trucking Fleet Manager to oversee the daily operations of our trucking fleet and ensure the safe, efficient, and timely movement of goods. The position will be responsible for managing drivers, truck utilization, dispatching, trip schedules, vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, and overall trucking operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily trucking and fleet operations.
• Plan and coordinate truck dispatch, trip schedules, routes, and delivery assignments.
• Supervise drivers and ensure compliance with company policies, traffic regulations, and safety procedures.
• Monitor driver attendance, trip completion, delivery performance, and compliance with assigned schedules.
• Ensure trucks are properly maintained and available for daily operations.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs and servicing.
• Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, trip expenses, and truck utilization.
• Review and verify trip tickets, delivery documents, fuel reports, vehicle checklists, and other fleet records.
• Monitor truck downtime and take appropriate action to minimize operational disruptions.
• Handle and investigate truck breakdowns, accidents, delivery delays, and other fleet-related incidents.
• Coordinate with the Distribution, Warehouse, Sales, and other departments regarding delivery requirements and truck availability.
• Coordinate with mechanics, repair shops, suppliers, and service providers for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with vehicle registration, insurance, permits, and other required documents.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections and ensure that trucks are safe and roadworthy before deployment.
• Prepare fleet performance, fuel consumption, maintenance, and operational reports for management.
• Identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency and reduce unnecessary operating costs.
• Perform other duties related to trucking and fleet operations as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in trucking, fleet management, logistics, transportation, or distribution operations.
• Strong experience in managing trucks and professional drivers.
• Experience in truck dispatching, route planning, delivery scheduling, and trip monitoring.
• Knowledge of truck preventive maintenance and basic vehicle troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of fuel monitoring, vehicle utilization, and fleet cost control.
• Strong leadership and driver-management skills.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Must be willing to work in Davao City and coordinate with field/trucking operations.
• Valid driver's license is preferred.

Pay: From Php25,000.00 per month
