With around 170 employees based in Blenheim, we are helping lead the region through a period of significant change as electrification, renewable energy, and new technologies reshape the energy sector. Guided by our vision of Energising Marlborough’s Future, we offer meaningful work, great people, and the opportunity to make a real impact in a region renowned for its lifestyle, natural beauty, and world-class wine industry.

Marlborough Lines is looking for a practical, organised and commercially-minded Fleet Manager to take ownership of our diverse fleet of vehicles and specialist equipment. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring our people have safe, reliable and compliant vehicles to support the delivery of essential electricity services across the Marlborough region.

  • Managing supplier and contractor relationships
  • Administering fleet systems including EROAD and maintaining accurate fleet records
  • Supporting incident management, insurance claims and fleet-related investigations
  • Promoting safe vehicle use and continuous improvement across the fleet

What we're looking for

You will be someone who enjoys being the person who keeps things running smoothly. You're organised, proactive and able to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on safety, compliance and customer service.

Ideally you'll bring:

  • A current Class 2 driver's licence
  • Experience coordinating vehicle fleets, plant, equipment or asset maintenance activities
  • Strong contractor and supplier management skills
  • Experience managing compliance programmes, records and reporting
  • The ability to analyse data and make sound operational recommendations
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Confidence using Microsoft 365 and fleet or asset management systems

Experience within the electricity, utility, contracting, transport or infrastructure sectors will be highly regarded, as will experience with EROAD, asset management systems and fleet budgeting.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll have the autonomy to make a real impact, improve fleet performance and support operational excellence across the business.
