Fleet Manager

Job Summary

As a Fleet Manager, you’ll coordinate road transportation operations and keep vehicles, dispatches, and freight moving efficiently. You’ll use transportation management systems, vehicle dispatch software, and tools such as GPS (Global Positioning System) and GIS (Geographic Information System) to support transportation planning, logistics, and supply chain activities. Your impact: Clear dispatch coordination and timely updates help drivers, internal teams, and customers stay informed and keep deliveries on track.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate dispatching, freight movements, and daily fleet activity; monitor routes and vehicle status using GPS and dispatch tools.
• Maintain accurate records through data entry and typing, and review operational information to identify issues and support decisions.
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams using phone call management, multi-line phone systems, and professional phone etiquette.
• Provide responsive customer service and clear internal communication while resolving routine transportation questions.
• Follow applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and use transportation management systems, including Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine, as relevant.

Experience

• Experience in fleet management, transportation management, road transportation operations, dispatching, or logistics is preferred.
• Familiarity with transportation planning, supply chain processes, freight, GPS, GIS, and vehicle dispatch software is an asset.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and transportation management systems; experience with Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analysis skills, with confident phone communication and accurate data entry.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, handle calls professionally, and support safe, reliable transportation operations.

Pay: $1,800.00 - $2,500.00 per week
