Duties and responsibilities

• Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Operate COBOT and DAICHEN Automated Welders and Laser.
• Assemble brakes and brake cables, bond and grind brake shoes.
• Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies to supervisor or Quality Department.
• Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts supervisor if supplies are needed.
• Checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Detail-oriented and consistent.
• Works well as a productive member of a team.
• Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.
• Understanding of and ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.

Additional Qualifications

• Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.
• Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
• Previous tow-motor operation experience.

Working conditions

• Required to lift heavy parts, bend, stoop, or operate heavy equipment.
• Exposure to typical climate and seasonal change in temperatures.

Physical requirements

• Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds independently.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed.
• Must wear safety glasses at all times and safety gloves in accordance with certain job requirements.
