Flex Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Flex Security Officer to join our dynamic security team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment across multiple sites by implementing comprehensive security protocols, conducting surveillance, and responding swiftly to incidents. Your proactive approach and keen attention to detail will ensure the safety of personnel, property, and assets. Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to ensure physical security and identify potential hazards or unauthorized access.
• Perform background checks on visitors, contractors, and vendors to verify identity and compliance with security policies.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical incidents, or security threats, following established emergency response procedures.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities for record-keeping and future reference.
• Manage access control by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining logs of all entries and exits.
• Utilize conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management skills to peacefully resolve disputes or disruptive behavior.
• Enforce compliance with security regulations, company policies, and legal requirements while maintaining a professional customer service-oriented attitude.
• Assist with performing heavy lifting or manual handling tasks safely during security operations or emergency situations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in physical security, law enforcement, military service or related fields is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform background checks effectively while adhering to privacy laws and confidentiality standards.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle conflict de-escalation professionally.
• Physical fitness capable of performing heavy lifting and standing or walking for extended periods.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures and compliance with security regulations is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to operate access control systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
