Flexi Housekeeper

Are you an experienced housekeeper looking for flexible work that fits around your life?

We are currently looking for housekeepers at Handover Services. As a housekeeper you will be responsible for cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a hygienic and comfortable environment in private residences or commercial establishments like Air B&B's.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• General Cleaning: Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, and polishing surfaces in all areas, including living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Bathroom Sanitization: Scrubbing and disinfecting showers, bathtubs, toilets, countertops, and sinks.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Wiping down appliances, counters, and cabinet doors; washing and putting away dishes; and disposing of waste and recyclables.
• Laundry and Linens: Stripping and changing bed sheets and re-making beds.
• Inventory Management: Monitoring stock levels of cleaning supplies and household necessities and reporting when new items are needed.
• Organization: Tidying rooms, decluttering, and arranging items to ensure a well-ordered environment.
• Reporting: Notifying supervisors of any damage, maintenance issues, or safety hazards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Attention to detail: To ensure all areas are spotless and well-arranged.
• Time management and organizational skills: The ability to prioritize tasks, manage a schedule efficiently, and work without constant supervision.
• Physical stamina: The job can be physically demanding, requiring standing for long periods, bending, and lifting laundry bags which can weigh up to 15kg.
• Reliability and trustworthiness: Housekeepers often work in private spaces, so honesty and discretion are paramount.
• Communication skills: The ability to understand instructions, follow procedures, and communicate effectively with employers or guests.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques: Understanding how to use various cleaning products and equipment safely and effectively for different surfaces and materials.

Previous cleaning experience is essential and you will be required to complete on-the-job training to learn specific protocols and safety measures.
