Hiring: Technical Expert – Flight Control Laws Design & Development

Location: Dorval, QC, Canada

We are looking for an experienced Flight Control Laws / Flight Controls Engineer to join our aerospace team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new and existing Flight Control Laws (CLaws).
• Support Flight Control, Autopilot, and Navigation development.
• Develop and validate system and control-law requirements.
• Perform simulation, verification, and testing of control laws.
• Analyze aircraft stability, performance, handling qualities, and system failures.
• Support Fly-By-Wire (FBW) system integration and testing.
• Work with simulation tools, test rigs, hardware, and flight-test data.
• Support compliance with aviation standards such as DO-178B and SAE ARP 4754.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Flight Control Laws / Fly-By-Wire aircraft development.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft dynamics, aerodynamics, stability, and control systems.
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink.
• Proficiency in C++ and MATLAB scripting.
• Knowledge of SISO/MIMO and advanced control techniques.
• Understanding of Kalman filtering / state estimation is an advantage.
• Knowledge of DO-178B and ARP 4754.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
