ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Flight Director at the Challenger Learning Center, you’ll lead students, educators, and other groups through simulated space missions, escape room experiences, and hands-on STEM programs.

This role combines group leadership, education, storytelling, and problem-solving. You’ll guide participants through interactive experiences, keep groups engaged, adapt to different audiences, and help bring STEM concepts to life in a fun and meaningful way.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead simulated space missions, escape rooms, and other interactive STEM programs
• Guide students, educators, and other groups through activities, procedures, and challenges
• Keep participants engaged through clear instruction, storytelling, and hands-on learning
• Adapt programs for different ages, group needs, and unexpected situations
• Help prepare, operate, and maintain mission equipment and program spaces
• Support other programs, curriculum activities, and outreach as needed

WHO SHOULD APPLY

• Has a strong interest in space, STEM, and hands-on learning
• Enjoys working with students and leading group activities
• Is comfortable speaking in front of groups and keeping them engaged
• Can think on their feet, adapt quickly, and solve problems
• Is dependable, energetic, and works well with a team
• Has open or daytime availability; daytime availability is strongly preferred
• Experience in education, theater, museums, camps, STEM programming, or other group-based environments is a plus.

• Hours: Part-time Only, up to 29 hours per week. (varies based on programs and events)
• Pay: $15.00
