Flight Dispatch Officer

What you will do

• Interpret and apply aviation weather forecasts (TAF, TTF, METAR)
• Interpret and apply minimum equipment list (MEL) from DDG manuals
• Determine relevance of NOTAM and apply restriction to flights
• Determine performance take-off weight and apply restrictions
• Determine company approach minima with respect to forecast weather requirements, in particular to identify alternate/holding provisions that will be reflected in the flight plan
• Identify restricted area, military exercise, volcanic activity, cyclones and other phenomena and apply potential impact to the route flight
• Determine standard and industrial tanker flights and apply required parameter to flight plans
• Ensure nominated ETOPS non-ETOPS alternate airports are suitable for the period of possible use and satisfies the ETOPS and non-ETOPS pre-dispatch weather criteria
• Apply company fuel policy to generate and distribute computer flight plans accounting for all operational factors applicable to a given flight
• File, modify, and cancel ATS flight plan according to ICAO standards and NZ domestic regulations
• Retrieve flight details and payload from IFDS systems
• Calculate flight plan limitations and apply modifications using Navtech
• Publish computerized flight plans, NOTAM and weather briefing packages with required charts to flight crews
• Plot weather systems and temporary flight restrictions in Flight Explorer to assist in the selection of an appropriate route
• Participate in the shift briefing process with new and relevant information that poses a potential impact to flight planning
• Assist Officers in the timely delivery and accurate output for any changes in flight plans caused by disruptions
• Provide operational support in manpower in the event of emergency of associate within the shift or in the next shift to cover operational exigency
• Coordinate with the Duty Officer to inform irregularity in flights, adjustment or amendment if required in accordance to policies and procedures
• Communicate to concerned parties to inform malfunction with the systems and performs immediate actions to minimize delay in receiving flights
• Accomplish documents and tasks as required and directed
• Prepare and complete duty sheets with the assigned flights in accordance with procedures

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in any field related to aviation
• Has completed flight dispatch/flight operations training course
• Preferably has working experience in airline flight planning
• Knowledgeable in flight planning and airways operations control systems and procedures
• Highly trainable in using Navtech flight planning system, integrated flight dispatch system, ROCADE, Flight Explorer, and other similar systems
• Preferably has experience in handling ETOPS flights for Airbus A320/A330 and Boeing B787
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Willing to be based in Metro Manila or other locations as may be required by business operations
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and/or holidays
• General computer proficiency

Pay: Php26,000.00 - Php27,000.00 per month
