What Does a Float Caregiver Do?
A Float Caregiver is a scheduled member of the PALS team who steps in wherever we need support. You'll know your shifts in advance, based on your availability. What may change is where you work, depending on the needs of our residents and staff. This is a great fit if you enjoy variety and work well with different residents and teams.
Depending on staffing needs, you may:
- Cover a caregiver call-out at a PALS home in Whitewater or Fort Atkinson
- Be scheduled as the designated Float at the PALS office and sent to one of our AFH or CBRF homes when coverage is needed
- Work at a home with higher care needs or where extra support is needed when there are no call-outs
