Float Lead Educator (Casual)

IGS Early Learners is a purpose-built long day care centre and kindergarten service, catering for boys and girls from 6 weeks old to Pre-Prep. Our management and staff members are committed to best practice in Early Education, by nurturing young minds and empowering them for a lifetime of learning. Our Float Lead Educator will:

• Have an understanding of relevant legislation, frameworks, IGS Early Learners’ policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure the service meets all compliance obligations;
• Care for the physical and emotional needs of babies at the centre, relevant to their age and development;
• Undertake general tasks to contribute to the overall operation of the centre.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or actively working towards.

As a condition of employment, all non-teaching staff are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and are required to maintain their Blue Card for the duration of employment. In addition, hold a current First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Qualification.

All employees recognise and accept that multi skilling is an essential component of employment at IGS Early Learners’ and all employees may be required from time to time to undertake duties that are outside their normal position description but within their skills, competency, and capability.
