Float- Tech assistant/cleaner

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Float-Tech Assistant/Cleaner to join our veterinary clinic team. This role provides essential support across multiple areas, including animal handling, client communication, cleaning, and record keeping. The ideal candidate will be organized, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that involves animal restraint and veterinary procedures. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in veterinary clinic operations while contributing to the well-being of our animal patients.

Duties

• Assist with animal handling and restraint to ensure safety for both animals and staff during examinations and procedures
• Support veterinary staff with routine tasks, including cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of clinic areas to uphold hygiene standards
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing courteous assistance and information as needed
• Maintain accurate records related to animal treatments, procedures, and other clinic documentation
• Perform general cleaning duties to ensure a clean and safe environment for staff and clients
• Provide flexible support across various departments as needed, adapting to the daily needs of the clinic
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold high standards of animal care

Requirements

• Prior experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred
• Ability to handle animals safely and confidently, including restraint techniques when necessary
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and task management
• Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction
• Ability to work well within a team environment and follow instructions accurately
• Willingness to perform cleaning duties diligently and maintain hygiene standards
• Experience or familiarity with veterinary procedures is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 32.0 per week
