Actively engage with children through storytelling, music, movement, sensory exploration, creative arts, STEAM activities, and purposeful play.

Support small-group and individual learning experiences that promote cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development.

Model positive behavior, encourage independence, and use age-appropriate classroom management strategies.

Assist with classroom transitions, circle time, outdoor activities, and daily routines.

Maintain meaningful, positive interactions with children throughout the school day.

Provide dependable classroom coverage during teacher lunch breaks and scheduled absences.

Maintain established classroom schedules, routines, and supervision expectations.

Assist with preparing, distributing, and serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks in accordance with school procedures and dietary restrictions.

Support children during mealtimes while encouraging appropriate table manners, independence, and healthy habits.

Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and maintaining organized learning environments.

Childcare & Daily Care Responsibilities

Assist children with handwashing, dressing, feeding, and other age-appropriate self-care skills.

Supervise rest periods, playground activities, and classroom transitions.

Maintain active supervision and follow all required child-to-staff ratios.

Ensure children remain safe, comfortable, and emotionally supported throughout the day.

Clean, sanitize, and maintain classroom materials, learning centers, and shared spaces.

Documentation & Communication

Accurately document daily activities, meals, diaper changes, toileting, naps, and developmental observations using the school's communication platform.

Assist educators with classroom photographs, learning documentation, and family updates as directed.

Promptly communicate student needs, concerns, incidents, and developmental observations to lead educators and administration.

Maintain professional, respectful, and confidential communication with families, colleagues, and school leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements

Dependability, punctuality, and consistent attendance are essential.

Previous experience working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or elementary-aged children is preferred.

Must be comfortable working across multiple age groups and classroom environments.

Must be willing to perform diaper changes, assist with toileting, serve meals, and complete classroom cleaning responsibilities.

Ability to actively participate in hands-on learning activities and engage with children at their developmental level.

Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and classroom management skills.

Ability to adapt quickly to changing classroom needs and staffing schedules.

Must be comfortable using technology for daily documentation and family communication.

Must meet applicable Florida DCF training, background screening, and childcare employment requirements.

CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification as required.
