Floater/Teacher Assistant

Job Overview

Duties

• Assist teachers in planning and implementing engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and structured environment conducive to learning.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts and provide additional support as needed.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and behavior management strategies.
• Monitor student behavior and provide guidance to promote positive interactions among peers.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills in early childhood education and special education practices.

Skills

• Strong classroom management skills to create a respectful and productive learning environment.
• Ability to educate young children through engaging activities that promote their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
• Experience in curriculum development that aligns with educational standards and meets individual student needs.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and students.
• Background in preschool or early childhood education is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of childcare practices that support the health and safety of young children.
